On the bottom section, rake through loosely with your fingers. You're breaking up the curl clumps on purpose here, a bit of controlled frizz is what creates the volume. Scrunch. Now bring the top layer down, layer by layer, and focus on definition. Brush, rake, finger coil, whatever works for you. I alternate the direction of each layer as I go, so the clumps aren't all falling the same way, which would result in huge big clumps. Foam or mousse at the end, aways.
