What a single dorm looks like at Rice University (Sid Rich)

When you go in, there's a closet space, and then I usually put my shoes down there, but this one's completely empty. You also get a nice drawer with your table and, like, a chair and a dresser, which has nice little cabinets. And then the bed, this is lofted all the way up, but it can move down. And also we can get them, like, to be bunk beds, too. The ceilings are really high. There's trash cans, too. I, like, used it a little, but, this is the room, single. And also there's a thermostat. So I said there's singles and doubles, freshmen always get doubles, except for, like, a few exceptions or, accommodations. But the nice thing about doubles is that you get your own bathroom that you share with your roommate, which your roommate you can either choose, if you meet them on Insta or, like, at Owl's Days, you can get randomly matched with someone based off a form. Usually it's pretty good. I would say at Rice, that's a big thing. I went random, and it was really great. My roommate was awesome. But, I think having the private bathroom is definitely super nice. It gets cleaned once a month. And then for singles, I think you can share up to a maximum of four people per bathroom. So it's usually, like, people Your neighbours, you'll share a bathroom with them. I'm pretty sure that one gets cleaned more often as well. I hope this helped.
