I'm setting up my toddler's big boy room... I cannot believe he's done with the crib, but I know he's going to love his big boy room and I wanted to show you everything I'm doing to make this room completely baby safe. Starting with this soft and load to the ground bed frame. I put the mattress right on the ground and the bed frame around it, but it does also come with a metal frame that you can put the mattress on to make it taller. So that'll be nice to use once he's ready for that. But for now, I did the bumpers on the mattress under the sheet and having the bed low to the ground is just so, so nice. We had to take a lot of things out of the room that were not baby safe, like we had a floor lamp and mirror and some other things. And then my husband went through and baby proofed everything else that was left in the room. We ended up mounting the baby monitor and using this cord cover and outlet box cover. Once he's a little bit older, I do want to add so much more to this room to make it cute and fun because I know it's very simple right now. But it's perfect to have it simple and low stimulation in here so he can wind down and I think it's so cute.
