CZ says rich people won't be able to afford 1 BTC soon. Why? Because 4.4% of supply is left. 21 million total supply and out of that 20 million have been mined. But have you ever verified that 21 million total supply is there or not? I'll show you. I have come here on GitHub and here on GitHub you can check out Bitcoin. I have opened Bitcoin. Here you can check out the code. In this SRC, then in BTC, then in consensus, then in amount.h. When you open this, you can see in this code, how many satoshis are there in one BTC. The amount of satoshis in one BTC. No amount larger than this (in satoshi) is valid. Note that this constant is 'not' the total money supply, which in Bitcoin, currently happens to be less than 21,000,000 BTC for various reasons, but rather a sanity check. As this sanity check is used by consensus-critical validation code, the exact value of the MAX_MONEY constant is common. critical, in unusual circumstances like air modification could lead to a hard fork. for the creation of coins out of thin air modification could lead to a fork. Inline constexpr Amount MAX_MONEY(21000000 * COIN); // 21 million * 100 million. So, the total supply is 21 million. This code cannot be changed. Even the US Army runs nodes. So, even the US Army cannot change this. That's why CZ says that in the coming years, it will be difficult for rich people to afford one Bitcoin.
