NASA's Lead Scientist for Electrostatics:nThis $1 Warp Drive can reach Mars in 3 days

Andrew Aurigema and Charles Buhler have built a thruster with no fuel, no exhaust and no moving parts, and the version they brought on the show is a block of foam you could hold in one hand. Aurigema says anyone can build one for about $150, and that the instructional video on their site is free. Alone it makes about a tenth of a millinewton, which is close to nothing. Stack roughly a thousand of the cells and you have a five newton thruster, and Aurigema's claim is that a five newton thruster behind a 45 metric ton spacecraft puts you on the surface of Mars three and a half days after you leave Earth orbit. Aurigema spent 25 years on the space shuttle program before moving into electrostatic propulsion.
