Change your partner wisely. Polly molly, I'm on my women's health physio placement right now and I'm actually so obsessed and thinking like I'm gonna switch into this later in the future because it's so empowering and beautiful to like help all these women who are at their most vulnerable state. Also like the women's health team, like I'm just surrounded by beautiful women on the team and then like treating all these beautiful women, I'm just like, oh my gosh, I love it here. I feel so safe and better. So what I do is I see women post, post-birth, um, like if they've had a vaginal delivery or C-section and we help with tears as well. For any pelvic floor dysfunction or pelvic pain. We teach recovery post-birth and just what to expect and give them a little handout book. Also like seeing people ante-natally to prepare them for birth and like what positions to do and what to expect as well as pelvic floor health and exercise. Guys, it's so important. It's like a whole new world down there for me. Like yes, I learned it in uni for one week, but I didn't know the importance it makes. Like even like prevent any traumatic births. Just recently they dropped the birth trauma Australia, a month ago, and it revealed one in three women experience birth trauma, physically and/or mentally traumatized. It's not talked about enough. And like women's health in general isn't talked about enough. It makes me so angry. But it makes me like feel so fueled to do something about it. Insane. You guys should definitely read about it. Pelvic floor exercises guys, they did post. I did post a video on how to engage a pelvic floor, but I'll do another one soon. It does help. My clinical educator told me that she'd be happy if I was her on the ward and I was like, oh, it made me feel some type of way. And then I saw a patient who had never done pelvic floor exercises but she had been struggling like with wedding herself since she was six years old and she had four babies already and I was like, what do you mean you have never done a pelvic floor exercise and it made me so sad. People just live this way and don't even know that it's treatable. So please if you are going through some stress urinary incontinence, urge urinary incontinence, or having any dysfunction down there, please see someone because it is treatable and it can be helped. Also, some things I have learned is I'm going to be having my delivery, I will be going to a place that has a NICU, neonatal intensive care unit, because like in case something happens, you never know, like you can't predict these things. As well as, choose your partner wisely. Polly molly. Trigger warning. How often domestic violence is seen on the ward, I'm just shocked. I'm just shocked. Choose your partner wisely. So yeah, that's just my little review of my fourth week into my women's health placement. Holy moly, I love it.
