Andy Burnham has announced disabled people will be able to travel on buses for free 24 hours a day across Greater Manchester from next April The change will remove current time restrictions on concessionary bus passes, giving eligible disabled passengers free travel at any time of day. It means people travelling early in the morning for work, education, medical appointments or other commitments will no longer have to pay simply because they need to travel before the existing free travel period begins. The move forms part of Greater Manchester’s wider efforts to make public transport more accessible through the Bee Network, with Burnham arguing disabled residents should have greater freedom and independence when travelling around the region. #ThisIsMoney #Money #News #UK
