I went vegan 9 years ago, and something people always say to me is: “I only eat organic, grass-fed, local animals.” These are marketing terms designed to make us feel more comfortable with a system built on using animals. We have been taught to see animals as ‘products’. As ‘something’ we can own, use and kill - as long as we do it the “right” way. But it doesn’t matter if they lived outside. It doesn’t matter if they ate grass. It doesn’t matter if they were raised down the road. They were still someone who wanted to live. The problem isn’t just how we use animals. The problem is believing we are entitled to use them at all. Leave animals alone and stop using them for food, clothing, experiments, entertainment, transport etc. vegan | vegan lifestyle | vegan principle | why I am vegan | vegan ethics #vegan #veganethics #veganlifestyle #veganlife
