This is part two of my trip to Japan to find a Birkin or Kelly or Chanel bag with a $15,000 dollar budget. Please watch part 1 for more context. As a reminder, I put a vintage Kelly bag with a $15,000 dollar budget. I'm still looking. It's a new day, so I explored new stores, but it's still within the same Osaka Shinsaibashi area. I couldn't stop thinking about that vintage Kelly bag. I wanted to compare other Kellys. Funny enough, I saw this Birkin 25 in my budget, but she was red. What am I gonna do with a red bag? Anyway, I found another vintage Kelly bag, and she was born the same year that I was born, 1995. She was in box calf, but in retourné. I wanted a bag from 1995 so bad, but she wasn't in great condition. Because of that, she was about $7,800 or $7,900. I'm giving you guys today's conversions, but when I was in Japan, it was much cheaper. This vintage Kelly was in bad condition, and the surf toe was completely over priced. I'm in Kyoto. This vintage Kelly wasn't in the best condition. This modern Kelly was. Ultimately, the vintage Kellys and Kyoto looked great on the outside, but they were missing a lot of accessories. And when you smelled the bag, they didn't smell like fresh leather. The one that I had on hold in Osaka and the one that I saw in Kyoto, they both smelled like fresh leather. And it came with all of the parts. Don't just get a bag to say you got a bag. Get a bag that's good quality. So, of course, I went back to Osaka and I signed on that dotted line. Oh my god, y'all.
