some notes i left out because the video could only be 3 minutes long: 1. japan has the strictest counterfeit laws in the world, and based on the reactions i received from the employees at the original hermes stores in tokyo and nyc... my bag is very real and undeniably the sh*t. 2. not all hermes bags are investments but this one is because this box calf leather is a heritage leather and is very rare at hermes these days. the tanning processes they used from the 90's are illegal to use now and they no longer plate their hardware with thick 24k gold. therefore, the older this bag gets the more the value increases. as soon as i touched down in hong kong after i left japan and south korea... this same bag was selling for $16,700 at a popular vintage shop and the bag was in bad condition. that's how you know it's worth way more than i paid. 3. this was my dream bag and i didnt realize it until i looked at my pinterest board with vintage kelly's all over it. i have an apple playlist named "japan korea china" and the playlist image is of a vintage kelly. 4. i got my bag from "okura main store" in osaka (in shinsaibashi) 5. the lifetime spa services provided by hermes is not free but it's not expensive if you want a basic spa makeover (make your bag look fresh and plumped and new). i think that service ranges from $365-$420 plus whatever other extensive care your bag needs. 6. as a girl who earned her bachelors degree in fashion merchandising this is a full circle moment for me. i own a piece of fashion history that's scarce, chic, and timeless. 7. i will be sharing vintage shopping in tokyo and shanghai, china next! i bought another bag! eek! #hermes #unboxing #hermeskelly #vintage #japan

I bought an Hermes bag in Japan. By the looks of this dust bag, yes. She's vintage. This is my first Hermes bag and this is my only designer bag at the moment. I had two other designer bags a few years ago. I had one white or a glass Balenciaga bag and then I had a YSL Eastside bag. I ended up selling both of those bags to pay off my student loans and all of my other debt. So, we put in some time and effort for this moment and for this bag. We spent two days in Osaka, one day in Kyoto, and then three days in Tokyo. So I started my journey searching for my bag in Osaka. I learned that in Osaka they have the best prices for Hermes bags. This bag is just so beautiful. It gets checks all the boxes. It also came with the strap, the dust bag, the lock and the keys. It was not in really good condition. It had minimal scratches and just kept thinking about this bag. The gold was nice and like rich 24k gold plated hardware. I rather have a bag that's in really good condition. I went to like 20 stores in Kyoto and the heat running around. Then I went to like 20 stores in Osaka. I was just running back and forth but I kept coming back to Okura after all of that. I think I went to Okura like five times before I actually bought this bag, okay? I'm going to show you guys the bag. You guys ready? This is a Kelly 28 in box calf leather with 24k gold plated hardware. She is from 1993. A true vintage. I felt like such a girl before this, but this just brought out that girl more. Like just holding it like this. This was a steal. It was 1.8 million yen. You guys can do the math. If you can't afford it, don't buy it. I'm debt free. I got savings, I got my business. I worked for this, okay? And I'm leaving with money in my account. So please. You give this printing so beautiful. Another reason why I was willing to pay $11,001.10 USD for this bag is because the Hermes spa will give your bag lifetime spa services to make it look fresh and new as long as no one else has touched it (even if the bag is vintage or secondhand). I made a contractual agreement with Okura telling them that if my bag was ever retouched and the Hermes spa cannot work on it, I want a full refund and they agreed to it. I bought mine at $11,001.10 USD. I locked my Kelly for y'all so y'all can see it. I also put the strap on. This is the bag. I also put the strap on. It's a beautiful bag. I love it so much.
