Michael Burry re-entered a bearish position on Palantir on August 10, purchasing March 2027 put options struck in the low-to-mid $100 range while the stock traded near $170. In his Cassandra Unchained report, he cited 31.3 million shares issued to staff over the past year — worth roughly $5 billion, about six times Palantir’s stated stock-based compensation expense — along with off-balance-sheet infrastructure commitments he says have more than tripled in 2026. Burry’s stated price target is under $50 a share, with a long-term intrinsic value estimate under $1. He first disclosed a short against Palantir in November 2025. This is NOT financial advice.
