Why it worked

The video leverages a common consumer question about technology specifications (4K vs 8K video) and uses a direct, visual comparison between two popular brands (Apple and Google) to engage viewers. The split-screen format clearly presents the differences, making it easy for viewers to form their own opinions.

Summary

This video compares 4K video footage from an iPhone 17 Pro Max against 8K footage from a Google Pixel 11 Pro XL. The creator questions whether the higher resolution of 8K is noticeable or just a gimmick, showing side-by-side comparisons of various scenes.

Original caption

8K Video VS 4K Video 👀 I have had the long-standing opinion that 8K video on smartphones and action cameras is just a gimmick so I’m curious to see if yall can spot a difference 🤔 , the videos on the Google Pixel 11 Pro XL were shot in 8K at 24 FPS and the videos on my iPhone 17 Pro Max were shot in 4K at 24 FPS. Either way, the video coming out of the pixel this year is an improvement from the previous generation. The only downside of filming in 8K on the pixel is that you have to use video boost mode, which can take quite a long time to render the video, sometimes up to hours 🤷‍♂️ Are you team Apple or team Google? Never Give Up Keep Creating ♥️ #apple #iphone #google #googlepixel #techtok
