These are the things that I wish someone told me before I started my first period. Thankfully, my mom talked to me so much about periods before I first got mine. But when I got mine in fourth grade, I really wasn't that scared and I felt very comfortable telling my mom. I know a lot of people might not be that close with their mom. Maybe you're raised by your dad and you just need someone to talk to. Bestie, I got you. These are all of the things that I would tell younger Christie before she got her first period. This is on your for you page. And don't forget to follow and subscribe for more big sister tips. Period cramps are always going to be the worst on the first two days. But if you do get better, don't be afraid to take an Advil, use a heating pad. Those cramps can be painful. Day before your period comes on, if you find a breakout or two, that's normal. Don't pick at it. We're saying that you pick at your pimples, but don't do that because it's going to leave a dark spot. Whenever I see a pimple or a blemish forming, I just put on a Charm Me pimple patch. I'm Vanilla Cotton, but Strawberry Crush is also super cutie. Not only do these help your pimple, they stop you from damaging your skin barrier. Everyone's period is different. You can have a normal period, an irregular period. Some people will get cramps. Some people are super blessed and they don't get any cramps. Everyone's body is different and that's okay. Also, there's nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about. I got my period when I was in elementary school and because I got it before some other girls did. Some people were not that nice about it. But it's fine. It's normal. Nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about. And as always, my page is a safe space. If you guys have any questions, drop them in the comments. Love you, besties.
