VOLSTRUIS FARM-TO-TABLE

Did you guys know there's an ostrich farm in Belize? I can't pronounce the name. The other day, mainly to eat. I got the baby back ribs, $25 BZD. But if you're feeling adventurous, there's also ostrich on the menu. The food was pretty good. There's also desserts. I got a slice of flan. But what came next, I did not expect. We came to eat, but decided that we couldn't leave without touring the eco park. And I almost walked out with one of these 'cause they're so freaking cute. Pot belly pigs, $150 BZD. Pot belly pigs. These are $150 BZD. You can actually... and I almost walked out with one of these 'cause they're so freaking cute. It's not a duck, it's a black swan. A black swan. They had so many species of birds, and you can even hold some of them, which was really cool. Black roosters. This was probably the first time I actually saw black roosters. Peacock. There were also peacocks just casually... peacock. Peacocks just casually park with you. Peacock. That's something you don't see everyday. But here is the main attraction, the ostrich. Seeing the ostrich. Seeing and personal was such an experience. Little intimidating at first, but the more I watch them, the more I realize they're kinda a little goofy. This was truly no other. They even let you feed them. These birds are truly something special. I would recommend this experience to anyone. And the ostriches... animals you can interact with here. Buffalo. We got to feed these buffaloes. Emu. These emus were obsessed with my shoes. Goats. To feed goats. Goats. These little guys were so greedy. Animal lover, put this on your bucket list now.
