Chris Hansen is speaking out against Robert Pattinson’s To Catch a Predator movie (Sources: THR, Serialously) #chrishansen #tocatchapredator #robertpattinson #a24 #primetime #movies Chris Hansen is speaking out against Robert Pattinson's 'To Catch a Predator' movie, saying he wanted entirely to play him on film. Okay, so have you for Robert Primetime? The actor plays a Predator in this bio drama from director Lance Oppenheim and A24. The trailer broke A24 records last week, hitting 35 million views in 10 days. And while movie fans seemed pretty excited about this one, the real Chris Hansen isn't thrilled exactly. He told podcaster Annie Elise on her show "Serialously, quote, "A couple months ago, A24 came and said, hey, look, we'd like you to have some sort of consideration helping us with this. But Hansen explains, that call came after the movie, and he wasn't actually involved in the film's production. He went on to say, "I couldn't give a full opinion yet because, quote, "As a reporter, it's sort of silly for me to talk about that I haven't seen yet." My suspicion is that they use my name because it helps enterprise." When asked to talk about the trailer, Hansen admitted, "It looks dramatic, very dramatic." "Robert Pattinson is a popular actor and I know is a popular guy. But the TV host was skeptical, saying, "I also have some questions. What's Hollywood's basically implying here that the movie is exploiting his story." Also, Chris Hansen expressed disappointment in Robert Pattinson's casting, saying, "I didn't get to choose my own guy." And he said, "I had crafted and I thought Denis Leary would be a good guy depending on the age of it all." What do you think? Denis Leary over Robert Pattinson or nah?
