day in the life of a marketing lead in new york city 🗽🍎 these days, i’ve been feeling like there genuinely aren’t enough hours in a day for everything i want to do. i haven’t had much time alone to myself lately, which is something i really try to prioritize. i’ve even caught myself getting irritable when i have dinner plans after work, not because i don’t want to see people, but because there’s always this feeling in the back of my mind that there are still so many things i want to get done. and i want to make a distinction here because i don’t feel burnt out by my work at all. if anything, it’s almost the opposite. i’ve been having so much fun with what i’m doing right now, and i think that’s part of why i constantly feel like i want more time to do it. i’m very aware that the way i think about work probably isn’t for everyone. some people really value logging off at five and creating a clear separation between their job and the rest of their life. i understand that, but i’ve realized that it’s just not what i want for myself right now. i’m in a season of my life where i really care about my career more than ever. i’m ambitious, i want to see what i’m capable of, and when i’m excited about something, i genuinely want to give it everything i have. i’ve never been the type to chase comfort. i’m always chasing growth. the harder part has honestly been trying to fit everything else into the same 24 hours. i’m at an age where so many people around me are getting engaged and married, so there have been weddings and life events taking me from LA to the bay, while work has me flying across the country to new york. the past few weeks have basically been back-to-back trips between socal, norcal and new york. i know a lot of people see my videos of me getting on planes every week or super commuting for work and think it looks exciting. and it is. i feel incredibly lucky that this is my life right now. but i also think two things can be true at once. i can be having one of the most exciting seasons of my life and still be really tired by the pace of it. lately i’ve been reminding myself that there was a version of me a few years ago who wanted so badly to have this problem. i wanted work that excited me. i wanted to be surrounded by ambitious people. i wanted a career that made me feel like there was always more i could learn, build and become. i think there’s a difference between being overwhelmed because you’re unhappy and being overwhelmed because your life is full. right now, mine just feels very full. some of you may have already caught on from this video, but there has been a lot of change happening in my life lately, and i’m entering a completely new chapter. i’m still figuring out what that looks like and how all the pieces are going to fit together. I don’t have everything figured out yet, but i know what i’m prioritizing right now, i know what i’m excited about, and i know this season won’t last forever. so for now, i’m okay with wanting more out of my 24 hours than i can realistically fit into them. i’d rather care deeply about the life i’m building than rush myself into a version of balance that i don’t actually want yet. see you in the next one! thanks for being here, xx #Vlog #asmr #dayinmylife #dayinthelife #workvlog
