Why it worked

The creator uses a surprising and humorous product (armor) in a relatable context (TikTok shop) to create engaging content that sparks curiosity.

Summary

The creator questions who would buy armor from TikTok shop, then puts on a chainmail coif and expresses excitement about using it for book reviews.

Structure

1Questioning armor purchase on TikTok
2Trying on chainmail coif
3Expressing excitement for book reviews with armor

Product placement

TikTok shop: (a) it ACTS - it is a marketplace where products are sold, removing it would change what happens in the video. Armor: (b) it merely APPEARS - it is the subject of the video, removing it would change what happens in the video.
