Migraines and disability benefits, what social security really needs to know in order to approve your case. Whether you just have migraines as your own diagnosis or multiple diagnoses that impact your ability to work. If you've ever had a migraine so bad that it affects your ability to see, to think, to move, then listen up. This video is for you. I'm Erica Riggs, one of the founding owners of disability law group for more than 15 years, I've helped thousands of people throughout the nation when disability benefits and many times it's with clients who have migraines. So let's dive in. Social Security won't approve you just because you have the diagnosis, right? They want to know a few things. One, how often? So for example, are they three to four times a week, lasting 8 to 12 hours each time, say that. They also want to know your triggers. Bright lights, stress, certain foods. Sometimes no warning at all. It's important that that's reflected in your records. If that's the truth for you, social security knows. They want to know what happens during a migraine.
