If you take generic Adderall, it's time to check your bottles. The manufacturer of Granules is recalling 5 milligram, 10 milligram, 15 milligram, 20 milligram, and 30 milligram bottles of its extended release mixed amphetamine salts. We don't have a ton of information about the recall, but it does say here that they failed degradation specifications and impurities. That means that they found substances in the medication that are not supposed to be there. Those substances could have been introduced during problems in the manufacturing process or they could have come about as the medication degraded and it was exposed to light and heat and other things in the environment. They found could theoretically impact the medication's safety and effectiveness. That being said, the FDA classified this as a class three recall. That means that they don't really think that they found impurities that are going to harm you in any way. And the manufacturer did not send out a press release about this recall. The recall was initiated at the end of August, but as you can see here, it was not posted online until September 24th, 2025. If you want to find out more about what happens when we have recalls and how we find out about them, check out this article on MedShadow.org.
