Part one redecorating my sister's house whilst she's away. There are a lot of rooms to do. We're going to start with the kitchen. And this is what it looks like right now. Now don't come for me because I know they're super popular, but I have a huge aversion to navy and brilliant white are just such a cold colour combination. So my aim is to try and warm up this space without ripping out the kitchen because it's a perfectly functional space. I wanted the walls to be textured, so I did a lime wash. I actually used the three different colour samples that I got in order to create the lime wash effect. My dad and I managed to smash out this room in a day and a half, which was needed, considering we have so many other rooms to complete. Last few touches. I changed the cupboard door handles, also sewed this curtain, which I'm going to use to cover the washing machine. They've not actually moved their washing machine here yet, so it's currently just a hole. The room definitely needed touches of a third colour. And I went for yellow. Also, so excited, my sister's actually pregnant, which is part of the reason I'm doing all of this. We need to get this place ready for the little beans arrival. Time brought the piece of resistance, finishing this light from Betro. So let's remind ourselves of the before. It was sad. Oh, open. The wall colour definitely came out a little bit more pink than I envisioned, but I'd still like it. And all the products I used will be linked on my story.
