How to setup a residential proxy on your phone (iPhone) this masks your ip address and can show your device in another location *educational purposes only* #cybersecurity #hacking Today I'm gonna show you how to set up a residential proxy on your phone. The first thing you're gonna need is an actual residential proxy. If you don't know what a residential proxy is, this would basically allow you to search the web anonymously. This is for educational purposes only, do not do anything crazy with this, okay? Right now I'm in Florida, but when we're done, it's gonna say that we're in New York City, okay? We're gonna be using Decodo. We used that in our previous video if you guys didn't see that one. We need another app to use on our phone and that's called Shadowrocket. This app does cost $3, but it's a one-time fee. This is not a sponsorship video. Now you should have Shadowrocket on your phone and an actual account with Decodo. I did pay as you go. Once you've set everything up, you will get a proxy address, ports, username, and a password. We're gonna need that for later. As far as the username and password, this is kind of the trickiest part, but you're gonna put user-xyzxyz-country-us-zip- whatever your zip code is to wherever you want your residential proxy to say that you're at. Currently I'm in Florida so I'm gonna just put like New York City zip code 11201. Then you're gonna type your password here, test. And then at that point you should be good. Make sure that for the type you have SOCKS5 selected. Yeah, everything's good there. I'm not gonna use that one because I didn't type in my actual login information. To do the test, you're gonna go to ip.decode.com. And as you can see, it says that I'm in Queens, New York. So that's how you would set up a residential proxy on your phone.
