Why it worked

The video taps into a relatable and dramatic scenario of marital infidelity, using a direct confrontation and a clear reveal of evidence (the dating app profile) to create a compelling narrative. The creator's confident and slightly petty tone, combined with the unexpected twist of creating a new gym membership for her husband, likely contributed to its shareability.

Summary

The creator reveals she has been tracking her husband's infidelity using an app called Cheaterbuster, which shows he has been going to the gym daily. She then confronts him by revealing she cancelled his gym membership two months ago and created a new one for him at a different gym, implying he is lying about his whereabouts.

Structure

1Creator states husband is going to the gym daily despite cancelled membership.
2Creator questions husband's actions and implies he is not welcome home.
3Creator reveals she has been tracking him on dating apps and found evidence of his infidelity.
4Creator reveals she cancelled his gym membership and created a new one for him at a different gym.
5Creator formally asks for a divorce.

Product placement

Cheaterbuster: ACTS - it is an app that shows dating profiles and is used to track a husband's potential infidelity. Removing it would change the video's narrative and evidence. cheaterbuster.com: APPEARS - it is the URL for Cheaterbuster, displayed on the app's interface. Removing it would not change what happens in the video, but it is the destination for the app.
