Cyclops Visor Gaming Headset Ep. 7

Episode seven of turning this Cyclops visor into a gaming headset. And you do not want to miss this one, guys. Today, we are going to remove these AAA batteries and use the lithium-ion battery that came with the headset. Big shout out to Jardel for helping me out with this. He works in aerospace as an electronics engineer. Alright, jumping straight into it at step one, we got to cut these wires and strip them down. So that way we can connect them to the lithium-ion battery. And hopefully, it'll work. I'm actually pretty confidently scared, but let's try it. Alright, test one of powering the visor LEDs with the battery. And yeah, that works. Alright, and for test number two, it's seeing if the headset and the lights can work at the same time. Oh, yeah, we cooking, we cooking. And just like some of y'all relationships, this looks like a mess, but it's a mess that works. Yes, yes, yes, yes. I will be using electrical tape to secure this together. But we're not done. We're gonna keep this moving. Let's just toss it in the headset and at least get one ear done. We already cut the pieces to hold the drivers and the muffs. So we're just gonna use that from the past episode. But see how it looks. We're looking official. So we're gonna map this out and toss all these electronics in here. I love cable management. Said nobody. I kid you not, this was the hardest part. Just feeding everything in there. It could fit. But it just wouldn't. But I got it and I was able to screw everything down, nice and tight. And look how it's coming along. Absolutely beautiful. And now for our third test of the day, the music test. Will this actually work? And to everyone who said using a headphone jack was an L. No, it was not. And for the moment of truth. We have audio. Unfortunately, the lights stopped working. I had to move some stuff around so that way the button could be more accessible. But yeah, here's me jamming out to Out of Touch by Daren and John.
