Storytime on how I got grounded for the whole summer

Storytime on how my parents grounded me the whole summer. I wasn't allowed to go see my friends. I couldn't even order myself takeaway. My phone was taken. I had no connection with anybody. And it was probably the worst summer of my life. Thinking about it now, I didn't even screw up like that. So I don't understand why my punishment was so severe. But let me give you guys all the information and then I guess you can judge for yourself. So, the last week before summer break. And on the Sunday before that week, me and my friends decided to hang out. Our curfew was from 12 PM to 6 PM. We went to London for the day. And at 6 on the dot, we were still in London because our train was delayed. And somehow all the trains stopped working. And we really weren't able to get on a train back to our house. Luckily, the buses were still running. So we decided to take the bus. Keep in mind, we did have school the next day and it was already 8 PM by now. So we actually ended up taking the bus to my friend's house and I texted my mom to pick me up from there. I explained her the situation and she was like, oh, it's okay, at least you're safe. But little did she know, me and my friend actually had a different plan. Because we had school the next day and it was only a half day. We decided what's the point of even going. So instead of going to my friend's house, we actually decided to go on a really long walk and ended up in a forest. That was the stupidest part of that plan. Only because I hate forests. Initially, like I didn't want to go, but my friend kind of like forced me, so I had to go because I had nowhere else to go. After like being in the forest for a little bit, it was like 2 AM by now. We kind of just went on a walk and ended up staying awake. I had my location on because I still wanted to be safe, but I only updated it once every few hours. So my parents couldn't really catch on where exactly we were. When it was finally time of the school day starting, we decided to visit my grandma. My grandma was actually really sweet and she made us food. We obviously didn't tell her that we went to school. We just said that we haven't been in. And my friend just wanted to visit her grandma. So I just came along. My mom opened the door and I didn't really know what to say, so I just stayed quiet. I could tell that she was obviously mad, but I guess she was happy to see me and knowing that I'm safe. Immediately she took my phone and she told me that I'm grounded for summer and that I'm not allowed to text anyone, I'm not allowed to go out, I'm not allowed to see my friends. And that when they go to restaurants and fancy places like that, I'm not allowed to come. After finishing that week of school, summer obviously started. And they went on vacation without me. I literally had to stay with my aunt and they went to Croatia, which is where we usually go. But not this time for me. And I was really mad, okay? Because I love going on vacation. So it's just like, I get being grounded, but why can I not go on vacation? And I was without my phone. So I was literally reading books. And I can't even read books. So I was like, I'm kind of screwed. And yeah, after that summer ended, I basically never did that again. Damn, a whole summer. Let me know what you guys think about this. Like, would you say that what they did was fair or not? Because I had my location on and I was only going for a day. Like less than a day. Anyway, as always, I love you guys so much.
