I do think property taxes should be abolished. If I paid off why am I still paying the government to keep it? Because who's paying for the schools, roads, fire department? Tax me somewhere else. If I stop paying property taxes, I can lose my house. Do I even own it? You don't contribute to... Sounds like I'm renting it from the government. It's definitely not rent. Feels like rent.
