Please pay attention! How to use Gemini Notebook (NotebookLm)

Going back to the academic comeback series for second semester. You guys wanted to know how to use Gemini Notebook. So it's no longer Notebook LM, even the logo has changed. This is the new logo. It's now Gemini Notebook. First of all, if you log in with your student account, you do get deals every now and then for the premium version of it. So that you have more uploads in a day. Because I think right now the limit is three, four, like generation. So if you want to podcast or video, whatever. So if you have the premium version, obviously you can do more. So step number one is the screenshot. It says create new. This is where you're going to see the different things that you can upload. Personally, I like uploading my lecture slides. So I will go and say PDF. If your lecture slides are in PowerPoint, you are going to have to convert them to a PDF before you can create what you want to create. Unless if they are on a drive, then you can use the drive option. After you've uploaded your sources, you're going to wait for the sources to see if your files have been uploaded properly. I upload lecture by lecture. So if you have all the material for lecture one, group it, upload lecture one, lecture two, lecture three. Then you can go into the chat function. Personally, the chat function is not something I use as often. This is normally where you would prompted or ask questions about your content and the AI will basically generate back answers to your questions. Like I said, I don't really use this feature. I like the next one, which is what I'm going to be explaining. Again, please also note that I use this for heavy theory modules. So commercial law, your economics, your business management modules, those kind of things. I would use Notebook LM. Or any module that you feel is heavy theory. Then you go to the studio. When you get to the studio, you will see that there are quite a few options. There's the audio overview, that's the podcast feature. Then there's the video overview. That's the feature that gives you nice short summaries of what's happening in your lecture slides. Then there's a slide deck. Slide deck personally, I've never used it. So I'm not going to speak on that. Then there's flashcards. Flashcards is what I would use if you know you have a test coming up and then it's just going to pop every now and then and then you are able to see what is expected of me. So the feature that I like is the video overview. So with the video overview, you will see there's different formats that you need to choose from. There's the explainer and then there's the brief. Personally, I like the short one. I don't like the explainer. It's for people who like, you know, like rambling. And then personally, if you're going to be using these two, um, prepare before you actually go and make your own notes. I'll choose the explainer. The explainer, I'll leave it to choose, um, whatever style it wants to choose. Then you go and generate the video. Video takes about two to five minutes depending on how heavy your slides are. And then you're able to watch it. After watching it, then I go into making my own study notes. The feature that I like is the video overview.
