Here's five signs you're financially better than you probably think. Because sometimes we spend so much time looking at where we want to be, we forget how far we've already come. Number one, you're paying down debt, or you're already debt free. Either way, every dollar of debt you eliminate gives you more control over your income, and that's progress. Number two, you have money in savings. Not necessarily six months of expenses, just enough that an unexpected bill doesn't automatically go on a credit card. That's a bigger deal than it sounds. Number three, you own a home. I know home ownership isn't the only way to build wealth, but if you bought a home and you're building equity over time, give yourself some credit. Number four, you're investing for retirement. Maybe it's a 401K, a Roth IRA, or just consistently investing every month. The amount matters, but the habit matters even more. And number five may be the most important, you're content. That doesn't mean you stop trying to improve your life. It means you don't need the next car, the bigger house, or the newest thing just to feel successful. And here's what I've learned, building wealth isn't always about making more money. Sometimes it's about needing less to feel like you have enough. So, if you're doing these five things, you may not feel wealthy yet, but you're probably doing a whole lot better than you think.
