We lost our baby this week & while I initially didn’t want to share this extremely personal news, I thought about how it might help others who are feeling these same emotions as me. I have not felt grief like this in a long time and it’s breaking my heart and my body and forcing me to take some time to rest. When I felt something was off on Sunday night, my immediate reaction was “What did I do wrong?” “How could I have been better for my baby?” “Why me and my baby? I wanted this so bad and did everything I could to be healthy for this child” and I spiraled (and still am). Now, I’m wondering, “Will I ever feel at ease if we try again until the day we’re holding our baby?” “Will I just live in fear forever?” “Will my body recover quick?” “I can’t believe I have to start over.” And while I know this is extremely common and I was always so sad for friends who were going through it, you truly do not know until it’s you and your baby. So, please know I’ll be back and posting again whenever I feel like I can but for now, I’m healing my body and will take as long as I need to be healthy again.
