I just saved over 60% by making my own roasted turkey at home! 🛒 Store-bought premium deli turkey: $11/lb 🏠 My homemade version: $4.32/lb Not only am I saving serious money, but I'm also getting: ✅ No preservatives ✅ No excess sodium ✅ Complete control over ingredients Did I mention it tastes SO much better than anything from the deli counter. RECIPE HERE: * 2½ - 3 lbs boneless turkey breast * 1 Tbsp kosher salt * 2 tsp paprika * 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper * 1 tsp garlic powder * 1 tsp dried thyme or oregano * 2 Tbsp avocado oi 1. Take the turkey breast out of the fridge and let it sit on your counter for 30 minutes.. 2. Preheat your oven to 300°F. 3. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, paprika, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme. 4. Pat the turkey breast completely dry with paper towels. Then rub the seasoning mixture all over both sides of the turkey, pressing it in gently so it sticks. 5. Heat the avocado oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add the turkey breast and sear it until golden brown on all sides - about 6 minutes total. This step adds amazing flavor! 6. Put the whole skillet into your preheated oven. Roast the turkey for about 90 minutes, flipping it once halfway through. You'll know it's done when an instant-read thermometer reads 165°F in the thickest part. 7. Take the turkey out and move it to a cutting board. Save any juices left in the skillet - they're liquid gold! Let the turkey rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing. 8. Use a sharp serrated knife to slice the turkey to your desired thickness. Thin slices = perfect deli texture! 9. Drizzle those saved pan juices over the sliced turkey for extra flavor and moisture. 10. Store in the fridge for 4-5 days, or vacuum seal and store In freezer for up to 6 months. #homemadedeli #mealprep #madefromscratch #lifeofhomemaker #mindfulmothering
