It is no longer with Zionism. It is with Palestine and THE DESIRE OF THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE TO BE FREE. Davis gave a lecture on feminism, prison abolition and racial justice at Mexico's largest university. Davis became involved with Palestine activism when she was in college in the '60s. Her Palestine solidarity grew when she was imprisoned on false murder charges in 1970. She was acquitted on all counts after an international campaign calling for her release. Palestine represents to people all over the world the power of persistence, and it represents the capacity to imagine victory and continue to struggle for victory even under the worst possible circumstances. - From the river to the sea, Palestine will win
