student teacher binder tour I just got done with my first week of student teaching and I wanted to do a little binder tour because I think it's super cute. I'll probably add more onto this as the semester goes on and I figure out what I need more or less of, but this is what I have for now. I designed this all on Canva and all of the backgrounds and stuff are from Pinterest. The front cover, obviously, says Ms. Klein, student teaching binder 2026, and then I have like little stickers and stuff. My specific major is art education, so that's why that's there. And then in the front, in this pocket, I just have some stickers that I can use when I'm grading rubrics or artist statements. And then I have a section for schedules. This is where I put like my own calendars and then I also printed out the calendar for each school district that I'm going to be in, so I can reference that for any days off or anything. And then I have school resources. This is where I put anything like behavior plan, um, anything like specific to the school and how they do things, contact information for different people, stuff like that. Student Info. Here I'll put specific information about students obviously and seating charts, I P5s, things like that. Standards. This is super helpful. I printed out all of the Minnesota State Standards in Art Education, Visual Arts, and then I also color coded them by grade and I can use these in the future for my own classroom. So that's why that's there. Lesson Plans & Rubrics. I haven't added anything to it yet because the school year hasn't technically started. It's been staff development all week. But obviously, once I make my specific lesson plans and rubrics that I have to submit to my university, I will add these in here. It'll also be nice so that I already have lesson plans and rubrics like printed off that I can use in the future in my own classroom. Why I Teach. This is my favorite section. I'm covering up names, but this is where I put things that students have made me. So last spring, I was doing my field experience at a middle school, so some of the students drew me something. This one says 'An ugg tasman shoe' and then it has a Bible verse and it says 'The best art teacher, lessons from the heart, not from the book. Loved you so much.' And then this other one, this girl drew me and said 'Miss Klein, the cool looking student teacher.' And then she drew my name, Klein, with little art supplies and stuff like that. And then I have notes and ideas. This is where I first of all keep any reference, um, pieces or example pieces that I've made for different lessons. And then I can use these in my own classes. And then I also just keep a little notebook back here that I can write anything down in, any sort of ideas, critiques from my CT, anything like that. So yeah, that's what I have in here for now. I'm so excited.
