🌙 DAY 1 > Tonight 🗑️ Pads in the bin. All of them, at once. Every time your puppy uses one, they learn that peeing indoors on something soft is fine. Then they find your bath mat. Your rug. The corner of the couch. To them those are the same thing. You did not teach them to go outside, you taught them to go on fabric. 🌱 Apartment? Real grass patch on the balcony. Feels like the real thing, so nothing gets unlearned later. Backyard? Pick one corner. 🧴 Enzymatic cleaner on old spots. Regular cleaner leaves a smell they can still find. ⏰ DAY 2 > The schedule 🔁 Outside every hour. Plus after every meal, nap, and play session. 🎉 Pay them the second they finish. Not back inside. That gap is why it never clicks. 🍗 Go big at first. Treats, real excitement, full celebration. Then phase the treats out, keep the praise. Two reasons: it becomes normal instead of a trick they perform for you, and you avoid the puppy who pees four drops at the door hoping to get paid again. 👀 DAY 3 > Learn the tell 🐕 Sniffing, circling, stopping mid-play. That is your ten second warning. 🚪 Keep them in the same room as you. Almost every accident happens when nobody is watching. 🤫 Accident? Say nothing, clean it up. Telling them off teaches them to go where you cannot see. One honest thing: A puppy that has learned to pee inside will take more than 3 days to get potty trained. What changes in 3 days is that you stop working against yourself. Stay consistent and it will definitely get better.
