How many times I failed before the win ↓ At 14, I got kicked out of school. At 18, eBay shut down the store I had spent years building. Just like that, years of work were gone. At 21, I was running 100 eBay stores. I couldn’t manage them all manually, and everything started breaking. At 24, I was losing money every month. I didn’t pay myself for years because I kept putting everything back into the business. At 25, I was traveling the world while building my company. Then COVID hit, everything stopped, and I had to come back home. At 26, we found out our business partner had stolen over $100K from us. At 27, we got an offer to sell AutoDS. The process dragged on for almost six months. After investing a huge amount of time into the deal, we decided not to sell. At 28, I sold AutoDS to Fiverr for $92M. That deal closed in just 21 days. But the $92M exit isn’t the whole story. People see the exit. They don’t see getting kicked out of school. They don’t see eBay shutting you down. They don’t see the months of losing money, the bad partnerships, or the deals that go nowhere. Every failure taught me something I needed for what came next. You don’t need every idea to work. You just need to stay in the game long enough for one to win.
