Here are three fix yourself. Tip number one, the humming disposal. First, your garbage disposal is humming, but it won't spin. Don't buy a new one. Just go under the sink, very bottom centre of the unit. There's a small hexagonal hole. Get you an Allen wrench, put it in that hole, hard twist to break the jam, red reset button next to it and you're good. You just saved 150 bucks. Tip two, the AC closet leak. Second, water is on the closet floor from the AC unit. Your condensation drain line is clogged with algae. Don't call a tech. Go outside up your regular PVC. Shop vac to suck the gunk out for 30 seconds. Line cleared. Problem solved. Tip three, the dead outlet. Third, an outlet in kitchen randomly stops working. Before you call an electrician, look around for the outlet that has two small tiny buttons in the middle. Press the one that says reset right there. Until it clicks.
