Why it worked

The video taps into the common phenomenon of the Mandela Effect, using a well-known figure like Tim Curry to create a relatable and intriguing premise. The creator's confident assertion and call for audience participation encourage engagement and sharing of personal memories.

Summary

The creator discusses the perceived discrepancy in the passing year of actor Tim Curry, contrasting it with the existence of Joel Osteen and the Chick-fil-A logo. They propose the idea of two timelines running concurrently and encourage viewers to share their own memories.

Structure

1Introduction of Tim Curry's supposed passing in 2023
2Friend's denial and memory of a conversation in 2023
3Mention of Joel Osteen and Chick-fil-A logo
4Explanation of 'timeline jumps' and 'Mandela effects'
5Creator's belief in two parallel timelines
6Call to action for viewer memories

Product placement

Under Armour (appears, logo on hat, removing it would not change what happens in the video) Tim Curry (mentioned as an actor, removing him would change the topic of the video) Joel Osteen (appears, image, removing him would not change what happens in the video) Chick-fil-A (appears, logo, removing it would not change what happens in the video)

Transcript

Tim Curry passed away in 2023 Tim Curry passed away in 2023 I reached out to a friend of mine who is a huge Rocky Horror Picture Show fan and he immediately was like, yeah, dude, no. I remember us having a conversation on the phone in 2023. Now, I made a video back in June when we had another timeline jump over Joel Osteen with an L. Now they're saying you can even Google it. Google it. It's Joel Osteen, no L. I'm sorry, that's the hill I'm gonna die on. The timeline I'm living on right now is the timeline where Tim Curry passed away in 2023. Joel Osteen and Chick-fil-A. C H I C K. Not C H I C K. Fillet. I'm sorry. These are timeline jumps. People are gonna call them Mandela effects. I'm gonna say they're two timelines running together and if you are capable of experiencing both timelines, you're a traveler. You are a master manifestor and I'm starting to use my manifestation techniques right now. You should do the same. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. What do you remember?
