Sony is facing a class-action lawsuit alleging that the PlayStation Store failed to clearly explain that customers receive licences for digital games rather than ownership. In its legal response, Sony argues that consumers cannot reasonably believe they own digital games, pointing to its agreement stating: “The Software is licensed to you, not sold.” Sony also argues that true ownership would prevent multiple customers from owning the same digital game.
