thank you to the stranger that asked olivia out on a date (but was rejected) at 5am on the streets of NY for helping inspire Stupid Song I also like a little like funny walking out on sidewalks, like sometimes people will take pictures and I like always felt I felt a little anxious but at 5am in the morning I was walking around and nobody knew who I was and there was nobody on the streets and I was like doing twirls on the sidewalk, like I felt so free. Um, and then this guy came up to me and I was like, oh he's gonna ask for a picture and he's like, you're so beautiful, can I take you out on a date? And I was like, no, but like this is the best day ever. Oh my god. I was so happy. I was like twirling around on the sidewalks and I went home and I sat down at the piano and I wrote that song. So I think that it has some of that, that element of like, freedom in New York vibes, but it was a good feeling. I tried to bottle it. Did you have quickly? Did you bottle it quickly? Yeah, I wrote that song pretty quickly and it didn't really change very much from its original iteration.
