Why it worked
The video taps into the popular "kitchen hack" trend, presenting a relatable problem (messy chicken tenderizing) and an intriguing, unconventional solution. The creator's honest and slightly humorous failed attempt makes the content engaging and shareable, as viewers can relate to experiments gone wrong.
Summary
The creator attempts to use a tortilla press to tenderize chicken, inspired by an online hack. However, the experiment proves unsuccessful as the chicken is too slippery and the press does not effectively flatten or tenderize it.

- 2Creator's motivation: to avoid mess and extra steps
- 3Attempting the hack with chicken in a bag

CAN A TORTILLA PRESS
TENDERIZE CHICKEN?
I tried it so you don't have to
Transcript
I saw someone online using their tortilla press to flatten and tenderize chicken and I was intrigued. Because if I can skip pounding chicken and sending raw chicken juice flying around my kitchen, SIGN ME UP. So I tried it. And friends… chicken is slippery. It just did not work the way I thought it would. Maybe I was doing something wrong, maybe my chicken was too slippery, or maybe this is one of those kitchen hacks that looks a lot better on the internet. Have you tried using a tortilla press
