8 months of prep

8 months of prep in 1.5min for living full time on the road to travel Southern Africa It all started in Strand where we began the prep for moving away from Cape Town <- taking our rear seats out Then came the super long and sad moment to pack up our little life on the coast and move it allll into storage (that what we weren't taking with us) After dreaded goodbyes we hit the road heading north with only a car packed to the brim but nothing had been built yet... Arriving in Pretoria felt surreal.. we had actually left everything behind But soon to follow was something exciting... Arriving at Front Runner Dometic for fitments of our rooftop tent awning roof rack and drawer system Quite literally one of the craziest moments seeing our little Joey transform Such skilled hands at work! This is the moment we knew our lives would change forever Eager to set it up we sought out the nearest park in the city the security was thrilled to see what we were filming and kind enough to even let us in the first place! Bonus was seeing our friend that we hadn't seen in months! Getting to Malelane, Lowveld felt like a breath of fresh, warm summer air Now came the real hard work.. Getting everything we needed to be self sufficient on the road Which included our diy part of the build (remember those seats we took out ;)) - getting wood - building racks With our ply wood secured and cut to size the vision we had built in our minds started to come to life!
