Why it worked
The video likely resonated due to its relatable (and alarming) premise of a product failing and causing negative side effects, presented in a concise and visually direct manner.
Summary
The video shows various Bask & Lather hair products being thrown into a trash can. The on-screen text indicates that the creator is discarding these products because they allegedly mold and cause hair loss.
Structure
- 1Products are shown in a trash can.
- 2On-screen text explains the reason for discarding them.
- 3More products are added to the trash.
- 4A hand picks up a bottle to throw it away.
Product placement
Bask & Lather products (hair products) ACTS - they are shown being thrown away because they allegedly mold and cause hair loss. Removing them would change the video's narrative. None of the other names ACT or APPEAR.
