GAME RANT Fans HIJACK PlayStation State of Play Over Discs and Destiny 3

I might have noticed something during Sony's recent State of Play. In light of the company's recent initiatives, the entire chat of the stream was inundated with comments about Destiny 3 and no disc, no buy. Sony has been facing backlash over their decision to pivot from physical discs as well as moving away from Destiny 2 in favor of the less enjoyed marathon. Matters were made worse when the company doubled down on game ownership, stating no reasonable person would believe to be owning the games. You know, no reasonable person would have greenlit or conquered. But here we are. Nonetheless, the unreasonable people took to Sony's State of Play and dominated the chat with no disc, no buy and Destiny 3 being essentially the only comments in their entire hour and 45 minute run. Despite rumors of backing down, current reporting states that Sony is holding true to their plan for their upcoming hardware, regardless of customer pressure and Xbox's own plan for their upcoming hardware.
