I pitched an idea for a creative-tech event in SF. I cold-DM'd one of SF's biggest incubators. THEN I FOUND OUT. Here's what happened after I stopped waiting and started moving. 2 Two startup job offers. People reached out because they wanted on those teams. 2 Two women offered me their place to stay—for free. The internet didn't just watch, it showed up. 1 A major public-speaking opportunity. A conference invited me—once though I never asked. 10 Ten people wanted to collaborate. They DM'd me about helping bring the event to life. 40K Followers across social platforms. Showing the work created real momentum. 20 I built 20 apps without being an engineer. I came from a product design background—and learned by building. AI OpenAI invited me to their creator events. The experiments turned into a seat in the room. I joined their cohort earlier this year. So here's everything I found out so far ever since I started fucking around and finding out, which basically just means doing whatever I want to do and shooting my shot without being afraid of being rejected. A couple days ago I asked the internet to pay for my rent because I'm going to SF and the rent is crazy. If you know SF, it's insane. So I made this post and asked people to cover my rent in exchange for videos. I had like 900 followers btw on X. And then I cold DM'd a big brand that I've always wanted to have this product but it was too expensive when I had less than 3k on IG. DM'd them to send me their product for free. Then I posted every single day since the beginning of the year. I also pitched this event that I want to host in SF for creative technology. I DM'd a huge accelerator in SF that I wanted to join their incubator back in April. So I was pretty much in the incubator for a few months and I met some really cool people and cool startups as well. There's still a lot more that I haven't covered in the last year. The only limits that you set on yourself are really just internal. And if you're not getting rejected multiple times a day, then you're not doing enough because honestly, I still don't think I'm doing as much as I can in terms of shooting my shot. And I think being in SF also really helped with that because people there were really ambitious and I kind of learned that over there. But I think that everybody should be shooting their shot and seeing fuck around and find out. I'll give you an update on what happens with the event with SF trip and everything else that I've covered here.
