the house I couldn't afford made me a millionaire 1 year ago my boyfriend and I moved into our dream home without even having enough rent for next month in our bank accounts and not even two weeks after moving in I signed a contract on the dining table of my new house the size of rent for the entire year and that 100% would not have happened if I didn't take that bet on myself and my boyfriend closed one of the biggest seed rounds of his entire industry so story time how all of this was simply part of the master plan I was out and about networking in San Francisco as I always do and the CMO of a really big startup I was just chatting with him saw pics of my house and asked to come over and just grab coffee and see it he was simply just curious it was literally gonna be a coffee chat not even 30 minutes hanging out at my house we started talking about all the ways we could collaborate and host different dinners and parties in the gorgeous space that we were hanging out in and we literally sign the deal then and there and more than a year later I still have not paid rent not for one singular month because companies will literally pay me the price of rent to host dinners and events at my house because it is 10x cheaper for them to put all the work on me than for them to hire someone go find a venue likely it's gonna be a restaurant that's to be much harder to convince than an intimate one of one experience hosted by a big influencer so before you buy another book or another course or make another vision board think about the environment that you're choosing to spend all your time in because that is actually what's gonna determine everything you do after that it's truly step one and yes it's risky it's an investment it's gonna cost money but no risk no reward every level of your life requires some level of risk in order to upgrade it
