Day 75 - Why 16,359 Days? Read more 👇 Today would have been my dad's birthday. He's gone. And I still miss him in a way that doesn't really get smaller, it just gets more familiar. I'm a dad myself now, and there are days I honestly don't know how to hold all of that at once. I wish he could see my daughter smile. I wish he could see me actually living, doing things I once thought were impossible for me to figure out. But I believe you're out there somewhere, Dad. Watching. I love you. I miss you every single day. Day 75. Haven't skipped a single one. My dad died early. Both my grandfathers did too. And that's exactly why I know how easily this can all just be gone, quicker than anyone expects. That's why I count every single day I have left on this planet. So where do these days actually come from? It's based on average human life expectancy, around 80 years. Converted to days, that's roughly 29,200. Subtract what I'd already lived by 35, and you land on 16,433. 75 days of posting later, that's 16,359. Hopefully. Though realistically, my real number is probably lower than that. Family history, being an ex-addict, a lifestyle I'm still actively working on. I'm not pretending otherwise. I just want to be a reminder, for myself and for anyone reading this, that every single day actually counts. Not someday. Today. If your parents are still here, please call them. Tell them you love them. That's not a small thing. It's everything. The account's called Life of Jakob. Fitting, right? #hopecore #mementomori #motivationalpost #dadlife #wholesomecontent
