Day 91 - Why 16,343 Days? Read more 👇 Somewhere between your first breath and your last is this weird little thing called life. Make some freaking noise while you're in it. Nobody remembers the people who stayed quiet and careful the whole way through. They remember the ones who laughed too loud, tried the weird thing, said what they actually meant. You get one shot at this stretch between the two breaths that bookend everything. Might as well be loud about it. Day 91. We're wired to think in years, and that's exactly where it goes wrong. A year feels endless, always another one waiting in reserve. A day doesn't give you that illusion. You either used it or you didn't. My dad's heart gave out too early. Both my grandfathers went early too. Add my own history with addiction into that mix, and this number stopped being a clever little calculation a long time ago. It's just my bloodline, looking back at me. So the math: average life expectancy sits around 80 years, roughly 29,200 days total. Subtract what I'd already lived by 35, and that's 16,433 to start. 91 days of posting later, that's 16,343 today. I'm a dad now too, and that's really what rewired everything. There's someone who needs me around in twenty years, and eventually stopped being a vague word. It has her face on it. Life of Jakob. Fitting, right? #hopecore #motivationalpost #Love #mementomori
