Did you guys know we were supposed to be cleaning the things that are cleaning our things? Yeah, neither did I. But I went down a cleaning rabbit hole and they say do. So here's a compilation of everything I learned from hours and hours of clean talk. Welcome to cleaning for dummies. Today we're tackling our dishwasher. First, I'm gonna fill up my sink because we're gonna soak our dishwasher filter. Didn't even know this existed. It was disgusting. And that little plate that's underneath it. I got this tiny little scrub brush on Amazon. It's also awesome for cleaning out the filter part of it. For the inside, some people use vinegar, some people use like hydrogen peroxide. I used baking soda. The number one thing they said do not do is use anything that has a lot of suds, so any kind of dish soap or anything like that is a no-no for your dishwasher. Across all the videos I watched, they said one of the most important things is cleaning out all the rubber gaskets because that's where mold can grow. For cleaning during a cycle, kind of a mixed bag. Some people use actual dishwasher cleaner, other people just wiped vinegar. For me, I just filled up a bowl full of white vinegar and put it on my hottest cycle. This next tip is brought to you by my husband, who's a commercial cleaning salesman. He told me to use glass cleaner on the stainless steel, like it works better. And don't tell him, but I think he's right. So there you have it, dummies. Come back next time.
