CLEANING FOR DUMMIES

I didn't know we were supposed to clean our dishwasher or washing machine. Big freaking whoop. I didn't know we were supposed to clean our showers. I just wasn't sure how. So I did my Tam on clean talk and I'm here to tell you everything I learned. Welcome to cleaning for dummies. Today we're doing our showers. Most of the videos I watched said we're supposed to start from the outside and work our way in. So I'm spraying all of my glass with Wiseman glass cleaner and then I'm using a microfiber cloth to wipe it down. I also learned we're not wiping side to side, only up and down. For scrubbing the walls and the floors, I learned the bucket method. Fill up a bucket full of hot water and then put it on the floor of the shower. Then we'll wet the shower down. Next we're going to soak our shower head in vinegar. So grab a big bag, fill it full of vinegar and attach it to your shower head with an elastic. I used a hair tie. On almost every video I watched, people were using these Scotch-Brite zero scratch sponges and I would agree. They did a great job. For the actual scrubbing, I didn't notice any particular method. All they said was to pay really good attention to the corners because that's where mold and mildew can grow. And other than that, I think it's just some elbow grease. For the inside of the shower doors, I'm using Bar Keeper's Friend and the zero scratch sponge. And on the floors is using the same sponge and the same bucket method. They also taught me that if you see anything pink or orange, that is mold. So go ahead and check that out. To clean and deodorize the drain, I saw one girl use baking soda and vinegar and that's my favorite tag team. So I'm going to do the same thing. Another thing I never thought about is to wipe everything down really dry after you clean it to avoid spots and streaks and mildew. For no other reason other than I saw Babs do it. I'm tying some eucalyptus to the shower head. Later dummies.
