Come with me to the Craft Loft grand reopening at Cambridge Side! When I tell you this place was full of every craft you could imagine, I mean it. Just looking around, there was so much to see and do. I felt so inspired just walking around this store. Thankfully, they had some crafts for me to change that creative energy into. First step, we had to make our own mosaic. I was really nervous about this one because I went into it without a plan. You take these little tiles and make a pattern with them. Whatever you want, it's all up to you. It was really cool seeing what different ideas and directions the whole table went with. It was a really open-ended activity too. I even changed my mind halfway through. I tried to add a little abstract lobster, and I don't know if it came across, but I do love how it turned out. It was so fun, relaxing activity too, and it's so nice that all the materials were provided. So we could just focus on the craft itself. Afterwards, we did a resin necklace workshop. We had pressed flowers, gold leaf, glitter to choose from. So I did a little bit of layering and went for kind of a blue sky with clouds of flowers. I don't know if it came across, but I do love how it turned out. Again, it was so easy because everything was provided for you. You didn't have to worry about mess or cleanup. The tricky steps like adding the resin at the end, they did for us. So we just got to have fun and explore. It was such a great experience.
