These are my rain gutter planters that I have installed on my cattle panel arch and I have on there for two reasons. One, it gives me extra growing space and two, it allows me to grow shallow rooted things like lettuce that can't survive in the hot summer here in the south because they'll bolt right away but in the shade of something growing over the arch in these gutter planters, they do just great. So today, I'm going to plant lettuce and greens in the bottom gutter planters and I'm going to plant something that's going to climb up over the arch in the top gutter planter.
