This dog bit someone's finger off for food When Rodeo arrived with us, he had extreme resource guarding, severe crate aggression, and simply wasn't safe to rehome We started with safety using a protective glove pole to safely give and remove his food Every time he guarded bowl, the food was removed. He quickly learned that aggression didn't get he wanted, but this wasn't a quick fix Rodeo had spent years believing he needed to control his food One of the biggest turning points was exercise The treadmill and structured pack walks helped him release energy, build confidence, and become calmer around both people and other dogs As he progressed, we introduced obedience food, asking for a stop wait before allowing him to continue eating Eventually, Rodeo was introduced to the pack wearing a muzzle and his playful personality started to emerge By the end, we could remove his food, hand feed him and Rodeo found his forever home with a new name Gizmo We are so proud of his journey with us
